Baerbel Jennert Foundation (BJF) operates on the belief that change can only happen in a community when there is a bottoms up approach to development where no one is left behind in the development programs. Our programs are designed to build the civic competences of the communities to hold those in power to account and meaningfully involve them the design and implementation of development programs in their local communities. When development programs are sensitive to the needs of the citizens, their real needs will be addressed and their living standards improved sustainably.
